Despy Boutris (Founder, Editor-in-Chief) splits her time between Berkeley, CA and Houston, TX. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, Crazyhorse, Southeast Review, Copper Nickel, Colorado Review, The Journal, Prairie Schooner, and elsewhere. Currently, she teaches at the University of Houston, works as Poetry Editor for Gulf Coast, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of The West Review.
Marissa Ahmadkhani (Assistant Editor) holds an MA in English from Cal Poly SLO and splits her time between the Bay Area and Costa Mesa, CA. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Southern Indiana Review, the minnesota review, Radar Poetry, and poets.org, where she received the Academy of American Poets Prize in 2015 and 2017. Currently, she is pursuing an MFA at the University of California, Irvine and serves as Assistant Editor of The West Review. Julia Medina (Intern) is an undergraduate student at the University of San Francisco, where she will graduate in May 2021 and will then pursue her MFA in creative writing. Currently, she is working on her thesis, a work of fiction that explores an unreliable narrator's obsessive paradox between love and lust. |
